Worcestershire Hills Trust Safeguarding statement
Worcestershire Hills Trust will ensure that individual schools within the Trust will maintain a mandatory, central log of recruitment and vetting checks, commonly known as a Single Central Record (SCR).
The Worcestershire Hills Trust’s safeguarding duties are detailed in The Academy Trust Handbook 2025 section 1.14, which promotes the effective use and maintenance of a SCR.
The SCR of the individual schools within the Trust are crucial safeguarding documents. The SCR’s of the individual schools support the Trust in demonstrating that the Trust has met the statutory requirements for safer recruitment, as detailed by Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, which ensures that all staff, volunteers, and contractors working with children are safe to do so. The Trust will ensure that the SCRs of the schools within the Trust are regularly maintained, reviewed, and audited to ensure their accuracy and compliance with statutory guidance.
